Mindful expeditions aims to explore our ecological identity through art and adventure. We use a skill share model to create a communal learning environment where everyone is a teacher and a student. We will promote self-guided learning based on interests and building skills with the goal that participants will be able to increase outdoor independence. Our focus is to have fun, build community, and maybe learn a new thing or two! This model is intended to remove some of the financial and social barriers that may be present in traditional outdoor education, as participants are not acting as certified guides or on behalf of any organization, but as community members. Each participant is accepting responsibility for their own safety, risk tolerance and your collaboration is invited and encouraged.
