November Spoon Carving Workshop
Join our last Spoon Carving Workshop of the season before we hibernate for the winter wet season.
In this workshop you will learn how to harvest and process a spoon blank from the land and carve a spoon while reaping the healing benefits and wisdom that come from spending time immersed in the wild.
We will start this workshop with a Contemplative Walk + Forest-Bathing Practice to arrive mindfully upon the land and attune to the magic of our surroundings.
We will provide all materials necessary for this workshop and you will also be given the option to buy knives and spoon blanks if you wish to continue carving on your own.
This workshop occurs monthly somewhere wilder. It awakens in the Spring and hibernates during the wet Winter season.
Stay tuned for more Spoon Carving Workshops in the Spring of 2025.

Singing In The Garden
Singing The Spirit Back Into The Body! is a bilingual song circle that occurs the third Wednesday of every month at Bancroft Community Garden in Berkeley, California facilitated by Ecopsychologist Reet (pronounced Rhett) Rannik.
This song circle is a seasonal offering; it awakens in the spring and hibernates during the winter wet season.
Drawing inspiration from The Singing Revolution, a revolution that was made possible through singing in Estonia, and all the songs Reet learned from sitting in women circles, temazcales and by singing with her mentor Tina Ashrae Fields, during her journey studying Ecopsychology, Reet felt inspired to reconnect with the medicine these songs carry and co-create ritual alongside the powerful allies that are fire, moon, stars, wind and earth. Together a ritual is born and all folx inclined to connect with the power and healing medicine of a song circle are invited to sing their spirits back into their bodies.
In the spirit of circular leadership you are invited to bring and teach us a song if you have one!
All ages & languages are welcome, being a native Spanish speaker Reet often brings in songs in Español.
Through song, our throat chakras are able to flow back into harmonization allowing for clear and authentic self-expression and allowing for us to use our voices to liberate ourselves, empower ourselves and heal ourselves.
After we sing, our spirits harmonize and we feel the healing medicine of resonance that we co-created, we will flow into a Fire Circle.
What is a FireCircle? A fire circle is a form of council; a heartfelt sharing circle guided by a prompt in which we each practice our deep listening skills as each of us takes turns expressing ourselves intentionally and authentically in regards to the prompted question. In this sharing circle we do not comment, or give advice, or speak over each other, we simply listen to each others answers and witness each other in our humanness with the intention of empowering authentic connection, allowing for intentional reflection and creating deeper connections within our community.
Bring warm clothes, water bottle, rattles, instruments, mug for cacao, a friend and a song!

We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
~ Unknown source
With Ancestor Appreciation Day now officially celebrated on September 27th, we offer this day on the land (one day later) to honor our ancestors and the wisdom we carry forth because of their trials, joys, and sacrifices. On this day, we might reflect upon ancestors in our direct family line, our ancient bloodlines, or our spiritual lineages. Whose shoulders do we stand upon? What are the burdens and what are the blessings that have been passed down into our own lives? What is ours to sacrifice, heal, or transform? What is ours to bring forth into our world as it is now? What will we pass on to the next?
With time together in circle and solo time spent on the land, we will invite each person to share stories—the gifts and the challenges—of our ancestral lineages and how these stories play out in our present-day lives. Together, we will begin with co-creating an ancestor altar, and we will finish our day with an ancestor feast.

Imagine what would it be like to dance together
In this land of water and knowledge…
To drink deep what is undrinkable.
-Joy Harjo
Within us, there is a deep knowing—that we belong to the great web of life. We belong to a world that we have co-created over an unthinkable amount of time. Intimately as our own bodies, we are stardust, rain cloud, mountain, war, earthquake, oppression, fire, flower, rain. We belong to the big body of our earth, and we belong to each other.
In this 3-day ceremonial journey, inspired by the Deep Ecology work of Joanna Macy and John Seed, you will be invited to set aside your merely human identity for a time, to step inside the dream of tree, lizard, bird, grass. With time on the land, council, mask making, and authentic movement, we will express and witness messages received from other-than-human beings of this earth. How will these messages touch our deepest heart? How might they inform the movement of our own lives? How are they in collective service to our world?
On over 1600 acres of beautiful, private Sonoma County land, we will camp, dream, create, play, maybe cry, and certainly pray—together as women. Will you join us?
We define “women” inclusively, inviting all those who primarily identify as female or feminine.
Limited to 12 participants
Introducing our wonderful Guest Guide Devona Snook:

Wild & Awake - EarthWays
Wild Love: The Heart Responds
3-day camping experience with Co-guides Cynthia Eisho Morrow, Sara Harris and apprentice guide Reet Rannik.
My work is loving the world.
~Mary Oliver
It is an astonishing time to be alive on planet earth. Surrounded by war, climate catastrophe, ecological destruction, a still-resolving pandemic, and widespread injustice, it is all too tempting to retreat from life as a way to find solace. Are we willing to “hear within us the sound of the earth crying”, to not turn away from what could break our heart open? By sharing and witnessing our pain for our world in a safe and intimate circle of people, we can also open to the natural beauty, joy, love, and miracle of this existence. There is no better time to awaken to a vaster view of our inter-connectedness, as creative expressions of this living, breathing earth. Our world needs our willingness to go beyond our seemingly separate selves, in order to find our way forward as a collective that honors and respects all of life.
In this Wild and Awake series, we have been experientially exploring this territory in various wild landscapes in Sonoma County. Each season has addressed a different theme, using meditation and reflective practices, group sharing and group ritual.
Rescheduled from 2023 because of weather, we are offering this final program of the series as an expanded 3-day camping experience. On beautiful, private Sonoma County land, we can deepen our exploration of awakening—together—to the truth of our inter-existence with all of life.
